Hello, my name is Pallabi Shrestha. I was born and brought up in Kathmandu, Nepal. I completed my Internal Medicine residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson and am in cardiology fellowship trainining also at the U of A. I completed my medical schooling from Kathmandu Medical College, Kathmandu, Nepal then was involved in some research in California and Rochester, Minnesota before starting my residency in Tucson. I love hiking and traveling, exploring new places, the different cultures, society, and history. In my free time, I love listening to music, crafting and learning random new things.
Growing up in Nepal, I have learned to value and respect the diversity in my community which has translated into my work in medicine. With my experience of working in a resource limited setting, I am strongly committed to inclusion, diversity, health equity, and justice in medicine. I realize that there is much to be done and as an initial step, I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful group of healthcare professionals who have committed themselves for a global initiative to make health service accessible to all.
